The contrast between McCain and Obama in those side-by-side television images was devastating for McCain. He talked about looking Putin right in the eye, but he seemed afraid to even look in Obama's direction last night. Afterward, Giuliani was making the ridiculous point that Obama was submissive to McCain, but it seemed exactly the opposite to me. He seemed much more in command of the facts and more confident in the format. This country puts anyone who wants to be President through the wringer for the better part of two years, but the result is impressive - candidates who know their stuff and can perform under pressure. </p>
